Why Windows win over Linux

We’ve all heard how Linux gives us the total control of the operating system (OS), how secure it is, how robust it is and on top of all how the price beat every other commercial OS in the market. Personally I would like to use Linux. In fact I have used few distributions from time to time but I always had to turn to Windows due to the nature of my work. Then again I’m a Web Designer / Developer who can’t live without Adobe suite. But a System Admin would prefer Linux for work. That brings up the golden question for the divide; how many of us are System Admins by profession or in a similar capacity or “geeks”? And how many of us can spend our limited time to learn Windows equivalent tools in Linux? That could probably be the reason why people are reluctant to switch to Linux. [Read more...]
